acai berry detox is a SCAM

so i was gullible! frustrated with my weight, and was looking up weight loss type blogs. I found one very very convincing, where this girl used a free trail of acai berry and a colon cleanse (not dr natura thank goodness!!)

i was dumb, and DIDN"T investigate. I thought for a brief moment, don't do it..you'll be charged..but then i was psyched by..i'm going to lose weight!! Well.....this company
http://www.acaiberrydetox.com/offer/lp4/?mid=111&subid=14396-myown1#frm

doesn't put on the home page nor the purchae page (i would've remembered and thought twice about getting the product) that its a 14day trial period. And you would think the trail period starts the DAY you receive the product...nope. Out-source-indian chick customer service said my trial period started the day I ordered it!! Which was March 20th. I didn't receive it on March 20th. First misleading anything.

Then I say fine, i want a refund. "Oh no ma'am" says Out-source-indian chick it has been more than 14 days. Then I say fine then "CANCEL" it. "okay ma'am" so while i'm holding....i go to front page of the website again..looking for something in SMALL print. Well very bottom in SMALL print says 'terms and conditions" granted i'm very very upset with myself...but i still believe this is a scan and very misleading. I was actually thinking of BUYING another bottle...but not after today. I'm at work and i look at bank account and there is a 87.13 charge..from berry clean, i'm like..who is that? i didn't buy anything...then i kept saying it and i'm like..""OH NO THEY DIDN"T"

okay so the small terms and conditon, states that 14 day crap and then says if its after 15 days. You can return the unused portion within 30 days from purchase (which I still got time) and receive a 100% refund minus S&H. So the CSR indian chick gets back on the line and i say...I can get a full refund. "Oh no you can't ma'am' you cancelled your account"

hello, i never OPENED an account. I only ordered a FREE trail.

HOW MISLEADING and yes how GULLIBLE I was!!

Don't fall for it!

I just feel so bad for you. I can't believe they are so deceiving like that. I was just shocked and I feel so bad Rach. I hope it gets better and that's it with the company. I love you and am thinking of you.

You can buy Acai drink at Costco for like 25 bucks, it's 97% Acai berry. You only drink like a tablespoon a day so it's supposed to last a long time . . . I've given up on gimmicks, it's all about caloric intake and eating healthy, grease-free, unprocessed foods. It's 90% diet, 10% exercise

That is terrible! I am so sorry Rachel! Those kinds of things just draw you in and then you end up regretting your decision. I think everyone has stories like this, and then you are more aware in the future. Best of luck with everything!
